How GPA Recovery Works
GPA recovery follows a simple law: the more credits you've completed, the harder it is to move your CGPA significantly. This is known as the GPA anchoring effect.
Required Semester GPA = (Target CGPA ร Total Credits) โ (Current GPA ร Current Credits)

This tool applies this formula iteratively โ it calculates the GPA needed for each semester, then uses that semester's result as the new starting point for the next calculation.
Study Strategies for GPA Improvement
- Course selection: Drop electives that hurt GPA; focus on retaking courses you got a D/F in if grade replacement is allowed.
- Credit load strategy: Take fewer credits per semester to focus on earning higher grades per course.
- Office hours advantage: Students who attend office hours regularly score 0.3-0.5 GPA points higher than those who don't.
